The Master is hold by three well known institutions with highly recognized international experts in the field of HPC: the Computer Architecture Group of the University of A Coruña, the Computer Architecture Group of the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Galician Center of Supercomputing (CESGA). All these institutes have long histories and experience in developing and applying scientific and research computation models.

Computer Architecture Group at the University of A Coruña

The Computer Architecture Group at the UDC is a consolidated and active research group with a history of more than 20 years in the HPC field. The group has received funding from national and international projects and R & D activities of over 4.6 M€ in the last 5 years. In this period the group has published more than 200 research works in relevant international journal and conferences. In addition, 19 doctoral theses have been completed in the last 5 years. The group has also paid special attention to the transfer of results through the creation of 2 spin-offs, and the generation of patents and intellectual property registers of the HPC software developed.

Computer Architecture Group at the University of Santiago de Compostela

The Computer Architecture Group at the USC is a consolidated and active research group with a history of more than 30 years in the field of HPC and in computer arithmetic, addressing in recent years cloud computing and Big Data processing. In the last 5 years, the group has raised R & D funding of approximately 1 M€ in national projects and R & D contracts with companies and public administrations. The group has published more than 100 papers in relevant international journals and conferences, directed 13 doctoral theses and generated several software records in the last 5 years.

Galician Supercomputing Center (CESGA)

CESGA Foundation was born of the commitment of the Regional Government of Galicia to promote common services of support to the tasks of research and, on the other hand, of the interest of the National Scientific Research Council to promote a work environment in the area of high performance computing, communications, and advanced services in the Information and Knowledge Society.
